Statement on Coronavirus-COVID19

CAIA Attendees, Exibitors and Sponsors,

We look forward to seeing you at CAIA2020, which is proceeding as planned June 10-12 at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort. (June 9th if you are joining us for the Pre-Conference Learning Lab)

There’s no doubt you have questions and concerns regarding the Coronavirus/COVID-19, so we want to take a moment to let you know the conference committee is paying very close attention to this ever-changing situation.

We are currently planning to proceed with the conference and want to see you there for more than 40 workshop sessions, an outstanding keynote and networking.

The health and safety of our registrants, guests, exhibitors and staff remains one of our greatest priorities. This page will be a place for any updates or changes moving forward.

We are implementing measures, which include:
  • A smile goes a long way to greeting old and new friends. We strongly encourage attendees to have a Handshake/Hug/Touch-Free Zone.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be placed in each of the breakout rooms and throughout the conference area.
  • In addition to the stations, we are seeking a sponsor for individual hand sanitizers for all attendees.
  • Encourage attendees to bring your own yoga mat for self-care time. We will provide a sanitizer after each session.
  • We are also working with the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort to ensure additional cleaning of common areas and disinfectants being used.
We all share in taking precautions for our own health and safety. While we want you at the conference, if you have a respiratory illness or fever, please stay home.

In the event you decide to cancel, $15 will be deducted from the refunded registration amount (helps us cover the costs of processing fees) if cancelled by May 22, 2020.  Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Violence Free Colorado will not be responsible for registrants’ costs associated with canceling flight, air or ground transportation in the event the attendee cancels. Individuals are responsible for any reservations made at the hotel. Please review your hotel reservation cancelation policy based on which property you are staying at.

We look forward to seeing you in June for an amazing conference and want you to be and feel safe while attending.

See you in Vail,
CAIA Steering Committee
