Guest Blogger Form

The new CAIA presenter blog will give participants a small taste of the rich variety of topics they will be exploring during CAIA2018, generate excitement, and inspire attendees to come ready to engage and learn.

Submission Guidelines[1]:

  • Submissions should average 500-700 words.
  • Adding images is encouraged. Include any credits if necessary and/or with a short caption.
  • You may submit/site previously published work, but you must include all appropriate credits and/or links back to the original.
  • Include a suggested headline (subject to review by CAIA editors).

Theme and Audience:

  • Your theme should highlight your proposed workshop content. When developing this theme, also consider:
    • The topic of your presentation
    • Why it matters
    • A little about you, your work, your organization
    • What attendees can expect to learn from you
    • How your presentation fits into the larger conference context/theme of community collaboration and/or bridges over barriers
  • Consider your audience. Most conference attendees (and therefore readers) are community based SA/DV advocates and community partners that touch the lives of survivors and their families. You might consider:
    • What do they likely already know?
    • What questions will they have?
    • What are they concerned about?
    • What are they excited about?

CAIA, CCASA, and CCADV will promote blog posts on our social media platforms. If you are blogging on behalf of your agency, you are encouraged to share the post on your organization’s social media channels as well. Not all submitted posts will be chosen for the blog. CAIA reserves the right to choose those submissions that we will publish on our blog. If you have questions about the CAIA blog, please email conference@ccadv.org.
