Project Connections: A Report on Colorado’s Research on DV, Children and Pets – Part 1
Colorado advocates and scholars have been gathering data about children exposed to intimate partner violence and animal cruelty since 2011, and we are excited to share our results! 
We will first describe the survey results of 291 mothers and children, including a majority of Latin@ families. We will then facilitate discussions about how to improve services and policies for families with pets, including topics such as Safety planning, Housing animals during emergency shelter stays, Housing needs after shelter, and Benefits of animals for victims and staff.
