D’Wanna Powell, MA, LPCC

Biography

Mrs. Powell is passionate about combatting all forms of oppression and providing hope and healing to survivors of trauma. This passion inspired her to apply for a volunteer position with TESSA in 2011. After volunteering for a year and a half, Mrs. Powell applied for a part-time position in the Safehouse. With her hard work and dedication, she has advanced within the organzaiton and has assumed the position of Safehouse Manager. To gain a holistic approach to working with survivors of trauma, Mrs. Powell completed her internship at an agency that services male offenders. She holds a M.A. in Counseling. Mrs. Powell is honored to work with survivors of trauma.
