Biography
Guadalupe Uribe-Joyner
Guadalupe was born and educated in in Mexico City. She has a bachelors degree in Social Work and 2 years in Social Anthropology. She has experience working in rural areas with different communities. She has been a hospital social worker in the ER and cardiology. Lupe as friends call her, also has experience as a supervisor of social work at Hospital General de Atizapán. She worked as a victim advocate for Centro de la Famlia in Colorado Springs. Moreover taught parenting classes for adults. Currently she works for the Colorado Health Network as a senior case manager and prevention specialist.

Darlene Brace LCSW, has worked with Alternative Horizons a non-profit Domestic Violence victim’s advocacy organization in Durango for 10 years. Currently she works as a Substance Abuse Counselor for the Southern Colorado Aids Project. She is skilled in trauma, EMDR and Synergetic Play Therapy and is working toward her CAC III. She provides training and education to her community around dynamics of violence, effects of violence on children, and trauma. She is passionate about working in the field, teaching, self-care and healing.
