Lindsay Christopher

Lindsay began working with survivors of domestic violence during her senior year of college after taking a Violence Against Women and Girls class.  She became involved with Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence in June of 2011.  She started as an undergraduate shelter and crisis line intern while pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She continued supporting SPAN as an on-call advocate at the shelter until October of 2012 when she became the Community Resource Advocate at the SPAN Shelter.  Her role as the Community Resource advocate includes answering the crisis line, providing resources and case management to shelter residents, and case managing one of several transitional housing programs offered through SPAN.
