And Then We Do Harm: Rethinking Clinical Interventions for Survivors of Domestic Violence

Unfortunately ALL victims and survivors of domestic violence are underserved in the mental health community. This is due to the lack of education provided to mental health clinicians during their Master's level programs. Thus, as a community we are doing a disservice and potentially doing harm to this population. This workshop will provide a discussion of what we do not know as the mental health community and what we can do to close this gap so that victims and survivors get the help they need to end generational patterns of domestic violence.
