Beyond Wins and Losses: Continuing the Legacy of Athletes as Agents of Change
The legacy and history of athletes as social change agents is both rich and broad. Billy Mills, Tommie Smith, John Carlos, Billie Jean King, Muhammad Ali, and many others became household names and inspired millions around the world. Today, individuals such as Colin Kaepernick and Layshia Clarendon continue this legacy by using their social platform to fuel resistance of social inequities today.
