Building Anti-Violence Partners: A Collaboration with Domestic Violence Service Provider and Child Welfare System

The Domestic Violence Outreach Program of Family Tree and Jefferson County, Colorado's Division of Children, Youth, ad Families (CYF) have partnered for over seven years around child welfare's response to cases with co-occurring domestic violence (DV) and child abuse/neglect. This innovative partnership emerged as part of a wider movement that is recognizing the importance of a deeper understanding of the complexities of DV in child welfare.
