Community Advocacy Project: The Nuts and Bolts (Roundtable)
This informational workshop will demonstrate how the Community Advocacy Project(CAP) model promotes self-sufficiency for survivors of Domestic Violence. Research has shown that long-term advocacy is more effective and results in positive outcomes, as opposed to short-term emergency shelter. The Crisis Center implemented CAP after we realized that individuals in our community, who have experienced domestic violence, desire services outside of a shelter model.
