Cultural Considerations for the Diverse Muslim Population

This workshop will focus on the diversity of the Muslim community in America and consider what cultural competence/proficiency for victims in this context looks like. The question “What does culture have to do with it?” will be discussed as participants think through their first encounters with Muslim victims and how to develop service plans that prioritize the cultural particularities of each client. Collaboration and network development will be emphasized to help identify and coordinate resources.
