This workshop aims to create improvement at the interpersonal and systemic levels by addressing barriers that survivors with disability face when accessing support. Audiences will learn about the intersection of gender violence and disability, why persons with disabilities are more vulnerable to GV, awareness of ableism and biases that create barriers to safety, screening for brain injury, best practices for working with survivors with disabilities, the significance of inclusive and intersectional language, and more.
