Domestic Violence and Housing Successful

According to National Network to end Domestic Violence (NNEDV, 2012), domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness among women and children. To make matters worse, many of these women lack the economic resources to better their situation. This is typically an outcome of living with and becoming completely dependent upon the abuser. The flip side of that coin, many will not leave their abuser for fear of becoming homeless with their children.
