It Takes a Village: How Collaboration between System and Community Based Advocates Helps to Meet the Needs of Victims/Survivors
Colorado’s diverse landscape poses challenges to providing consistent and effective victim services, but it also offers opportunities for collaboration. This session will discuss how system and community based agencies can combine forces to meet the needs of victims/survivors. We will begin by briefly defining advocacy and the role of advocates in different types of agencies, then examine the way those roles can complement each other. Examples of collaborations taking place across Colorado will be highlighted.
