Hot spot mapping is a data driven strategy that supports communities by identifying spaces that are safe and unsafe. This process can be used to develop or select programs, practices, and policies that can help promote safe and connected environments. Through authentic community and youth engagement, this strategy aims to increase community and school connectedness as well as connections to caring adults for young people, key protective factors that help prevent sexual violence.
