Social Justice Counseling 201: From Theory To Practice

Growing interest in Social Justice Counseling is reflected in the significant increase in workshop and presentation requests with a sense of urgency that the moment of change within the profession has never been more apparent than now. This workshop is aimed to address an innovative approach to promote SJ Counseling and advocacy. SJ Counseling 201 will cover a brief review of SJ Counseling 101 followed by skill building in individual and group counseling settings. We will maximize the workshop time for skill building and practice using real life examples and scenarios while examining our own privileges through self-reflection.
