Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Children

This workshop will seek to explore and explain the impacts of domestic violence trauma on children. Participants will learn how the brain's architecture changes as a child is repeatedly exposed to the cycle of violence, and how those changes impact all areas of their lives including life at home, relationships with peers, and time at school. Having a greater understanding of this will help us as we advocate for children.
