Jolene Cardenas

Jolene joined CCASA in April 2018. She moved to Colorado in 2014. Most recently she held the position of Communications Manager at the Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) based in Denver. Throughout her experience she has applied various communication models to grassroots organizing and lifting up voices of marginalized communities. Her undergraduate degree is a BA in Communication from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. She has over a decade of media experience in radio, print, and television. She graduated in 2015 with a Master of Humanities from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where she also received a certificate in Women’s Studies. Her graduate thesis project was a focus on communication between women in higher education.
