Melody Baker

Melody Baker is a member of the Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara (MHA) Nation in Fort Berthold North Dakota. She belongs to the Wide Ridge (Itisuku) clan and is a child of Lowcap (Apukawiku). She holds a B.A. in Sociology, Human Services from Fort Lewis College with a minor in Psychology. She is currently the Cultural Outreach Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Services Organization in Durango, CO. She is active in various volunteer organizations such as Save the Kids, Meals on Wheels, Durango Peace & Justice, and the Rainbow Youth Center. Her passion for social change and inclusivity and love for the various communities she is a part of is what drives her work.
