Biography

DAVID B. RIVER is the Deputy Director of Program Development for the New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence and former Co-Facilitator of the Santa Fe Coordinated Community Response Council.  Prior to working in the domestic violence field, David was a mediator, facilitator, and trainer with a private practice in Santa Fe and with Diane Neumann and Associates in Boston.  David specialized in divorce and custody situations and has also worked as a trainer and/or facilitator for a wide variety of organizations, including the Environmental Protection Agency, New Mexico Center for Nursing Excellence, New Mexico First, Divorce Mediation Training Associates, the Federal Executive Mediation Board, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation. At the Coalition, David oversees training and program-development efforts, focusing on trauma-informed services and creating the next future of the domestic violence movement. Most importantly, David is the father of a talented and self-expressed six-year-old daughter.
