Victim advocates often recommend civil protection orders to victims when there is a criminal protection order in place. But what happens when the victim’s testimony in the CPO case is used to undermine her credibility in the criminal case? This workshop will explore the pros and cons of seeking a CPO while a criminal case is pending, and provide advocates with a better understanding and more effective tools for helping victims navigate this complex process.
