Screening IN not OUT of our Programs: Accommodating Survivors Affected by Substance Abuse
This workshop begins with The Label Skit, demonstrating the need for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advocates and other Providers to work together. Multiple interactive training techniques demonstrate how substance use is used as a tool for manipulation, control & sexual exploitation, and as a method of coping. Identification techniques will be introduced in the context of safety. Critical screening tools are provided to help advocates screen participants in, not out, of our programs.
